SYSTEM CHANGES
The Urszula Jaworska Foundation has been involved in pro-patient work since the very beginning of its existence.
systemic changes in the healthcare system. The Foundation initiated the amendment to the Transplantation Act, which led to the development of, among other things, bone marrow donor registers and increased the number of unrelated donors.
The Foundation's long-term project in this area was to initiate and work towards the creation of coordinated care ( KOSM ). Together with many experts, we participated in work on changes to the standard of care for patients with multiple sclerosis, we initiated public consultations aimed at patients, medics and people managing medical facilities.
As a result of these works , KOSM - Coordinated Care in Multiple Sclerosis was created, which was submitted for implementation by the Order of the President of the National Health Fund No. 93/2019/DSOZ of 16 July 2019 .
Our Foundation is also the initiator of the Government Health Policy Program called "DAA Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis C in Patients Incarcerated in Penitentiary Institutions" for the years 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 - 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 and the implementer of testing and educational activities in the Program. We carry out our activities based on a tripartite Agreement between the Foundation, the Minister of Health and the Ministry of Justice, as well as the Framework Agreement and Agreement between the Foundation and the Central Board of the Prison Service.
We also carry out our activities for pro-patient changes in the healthcare system by participating in social consultations, participating in the work of teams, among others, at the Minister of Health, the Patient Rights Ombudsman, the Citizens' Rights Ombudsman, participating in team meetings in the Sejm and Senate and by giving opinions on legal acts.
